Job Title: Commercial HVAC Service Technician
Mechanical contracting company is currently seeking a skilled HVAC Service Technician with at least 5 years of Journeyman level experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting and performing preventative maintenance on commercial and industrial HVAC systems, including servicing HVAC controls for various equipment brands, with some residential units in smaller buildings. A refrigeration certification is required. This is a full-time position with bonus potential, healthcare and other insurances, and a 401K plan.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct preventive maintenance on commercial and industrial HVAC equipment and systems
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with HVAC equipment and systems
- Repair and replace defective parts, components or wiring
- Install, maintain and repair HVAC equipment
- Service HVAC controls for various equipment brands
- Perform system testing to ensure proper functioning
- Communicate with customers to explain repairs and maintenance services
- Document and maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs
- Keep up-to-date with new technologies and developments in the HVAC industry
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of Journeyman level experience in HVAC service and repair. Must be comfortable working independently and as a point of contact with customers.
- Journeyman license is not required, but Refrigeration Certifications are desired.
- Ability to work independently and as a team player
- Strong troubleshooting skills and knowledge of HVAC systems
- Knowledge of refrigeration systems, hydronic systems, and airside systems.
- Ability to service HVAC controls for various equipment brands
- Intimate knowledge of various controls systems and operations (we do not install control systems, however, we do manipulate controls systems from the console to properly trouble shoot and adjust to maintain proper operations).
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work with ipads, computers, and service software’s
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
