We are searching for an experienced Electric Motor Winder to join the Wharton team of customer‑focused mechanics. This is a great opportunity to work with and learn from some of the top winders in the Northeast. Mechanical knowledge and technical skills are required, and prior experience is essential.

What You’ll Do:

  • Inspect electro‑mechanical equipment for damage and evidence of electrical malfunction
  • Test windings and document condition according to industry standards
  • Record all relevant data on motor electro‑magnetic characteristics, operating conditions, and serviceability
  • Dismantle and strip damaged equipment and prepare reusable parts for rewinding
  • Rewind electro‑mechanical equipment, observing proper insulating techniques
  • Test rewound equipment and document results
  • Operate specialized repair and testing equipment including winding machines, test panels, surge testers, core‑loss testers, cut‑off saws, burnout ovens, grinders, cranes, forklifts, brazing units, dip tanks, and hand tools
  • Follow all safety procedures and use proper protective equipment (eye, ear, gloves, steel‑toe boots)
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and adhere to company policies
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For:

  • Mechanical aptitude is a must
  • Previous experience as an Electric Motor Winder strongly preferred; experience in an industrial, electro‑mechanical, distribution, or manufacturing environment required
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office products desired
  • Self‑starter with the ability to work independently
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment
